SDP is a Northern California based business owned and operated through Starko Services, Inc. co-founded by Aaron & Lee Starkovich. Aaron is a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer, Deep Sea Diver, and Military Free Fall Jumpmaster. He served in Afghanistan and Iraq during the G.W.O.T. as well as the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm.

For the decade following his retirement from the Navy in 2009, Aaron was an owner and operator of a defense contracting business specializing in the manufacture of armor for military mobility platforms. He sold the armor manufacturing business to the leading competitor in the industry in 2020. Aaron is the proud husband to his wife, Lee, and father to their two sons, Max and Nathan who are both graduates of UC Santa Barbara.
